Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA) Text Messaging Policy Purpose This Text Messaging Policy outlines how MSHA uses SMS/text messaging to communicate with members, customers, conference attendees, volunteers, and other participants. By providing your mobile phone number and opting into text communications, you consent to receive text messages from MSHA in accordance with this policy. Types of Messages You May Receive By opting in, you may receive messages related to: • Event reminders and updates • Registration confirmations • Webinar and conference information • Membership notifications and renewals • Advocacy alerts and legislative updates • Volunteer coordination • Account or customer service notifications • Promotional offers or discounts • Emergency or time-sensitive announcements Message frequency may vary. Opt-In Consent Users may opt in to receive SMS messages by: • Registering for an event • Completing a membership form • Signing up through a website form • Providing verbal consent • Checking an SMS consent box • Submitting a keyword via text message Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. Message & Data Rates Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. MSHA is not responsible for any charges incurred from SMS communications. Privacy Your phone number and personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with service providers solely for the purpose of delivering SMS communications. Supported Carriers SMS services may not be available on all carriers or devices. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier. Changes to This Policy MSHA reserves the right to modify this Text Messaging Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. SMS Terms of Service Effective Date: July 1, 2026 These SMS Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of text messaging services provided by MSHA, Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a Missouri nonprofit association. By opting into SMS communications, you agree to these Terms. 1. SMS Program Description MSHA may send informational and promotional text messages, including but not limited to: • Event reminders • Membership updates • Advocacy alerts • Promotional campaigns • Customer support communications • Scheduling or registration notices Message frequency varies. 2.
